During my quest to gain even the most basic grasp on goat nutrition I keep finding myself questioning the quality of the water they receive. For Dairy goats it is without a doubt as equally important as their food and may even play a pivotal role mineral nutrition. Water is absolutely vital for milk production. But how does the water that I so diligently monitor several times a day affect their mineral nutrition? I found a great article from North Dakota State University In the coming weeks I will be sending samples of my water in to be tested and would love to share the results and how they alter my approach to mineral supplementation. |
