Sugar Magnolia's dam has long been one of my favorites and I strongly feel that Melody when looking back will be seen as a cornerstone in our herds history. Melody is everything we want our does to be and I Sugar Magnolia is filling every bit of her Dam's shoes. I am so impressed with her femininity, length and smoothness of blending. Magnolia shows very prominent withers, tightly set elbows and lovely strength of brisket. She has a long lean neck. nice spring of rib and very soft skin. I especially love her long length of body, which reminds me a great deal of her dam at this age. She a two-year-old second freshener she scored an incredibly impressive VEEE 90 on Linear Appraisals. This score is seldom awarded young, two-year-old does!

Her Dam, SGCH Bellafire BP Country Melody 7*M (EEEE 91 @ 3yrs 2m) swept all three rings at the first show of the season as a three-year-old. She was an impressive sight that day! Melody was so long bodied and elegant as a junior doe, I knew it would take her a few years to grow into and fill out all that length...at three years of age...she did it! She is also so very impressive in the milk bucket, milking 5.6 pounds at 41 days fresh into her second lactation.
Magnolia's Sire, Algedi Farm Kinetic Riptide has been putting some exceptional daughters on the ground and we are thrilled that Magnolia can now be added to this illustrious list. Riptide has a stunning pedigree, he is line bred on Algedi Farm DJ Splash O' Honey, daughter of SGCH Rosasharn's Tupelo Honey and GCH Algedi Farm Drops Of Jupiter, two very well known and incredibly correct Nigerian Dwarf goats. Riptide has a strong general appearance, is level over the topline, tight in the shoulders with correct brisket definition, and has flat ribbing, a wide rump and awesome rear end assembly. His littermate sister, Algedi Farm CK Seirene Song, scored VEVE 91 as a 3 year old.
Magnolia reminds me so much of her Dam Melody at this age. She has an exceptionally long, feminine body that matches her long, slender neck. I just love watching her on the move...it is because of Magnolia that I wonder if I will ever let another Melody daughter leave the farm...LOL.
