We have long wanted to see the Wood Bridge herd in person and were blessed with the opportunity at the 2016 National Show. It was there we got to see the stunning Wood Bridge Farm Belladonna (Understated's Dam) take home the National Title for an unprecedented second time! Belladonna was also the National Champion in 2014! Wood Bridge Belladonna was the first Nigerian Dairy Goat ever to win the National Grand Champion title Twice!! Both years Wood Bridge goats stood near the head of the line in whatever classes they entered. The cherry on top is that Understated's daughter Wood Bridge Farm Spelling Bee took 2nd in her class at Nationals before taking the goat world by storm bringing in $16,100 in the ADGA Colorama auction.
Belladonna is the epitome of correctness, standing on strong legs and giving the illusion of being a standard size goat in her pictures. She has a lovely dairy wedge build with increasing width and depth throughout starting with her long lean neck which smoothly blends into her withers and clean topline. Belladonna's udder is high and wide, exhibiting a good arch, strong MSL, and plump easy to milk teats. From the side her udder is beautifully balanced udder, with a smoothly blended fore.
After seeing the Wood Bridge herd up close and in action at the 2016 National show we were excited to get our hands on these genetics. We are confident Wood Bridge genetics will cross well with our existing lines in the future, providing that consistent correctness their herd has become known for.
