Wood Bridge Farm really put themselves on our radar when taking home the 2016 National Grand Championship with a Doe who also happens to be the National Champion in 2014. Wood Bridge definitely had our attention. After having the opportunity to see their does in person at Nationals, we were blown away. Each and every one of the animals in their herd left a distinct impression; they were all THAT beautiful! Wood Bridge dominated the 2016 Nationals placing high in every class.
Teacher's Pet took Reserve Junior Champion at the 2014 Nationals. She is a powerful doe with excellent body capacity. Her length of neck and body add that dairy elegance and show her strengths as a true dairy animal. Teacher's Pet has a capacious udder with plump long teats and an especially beautiful fore udder extension. We love her levelness across the topline extending into her rump.
Devil's maternal half sibling, Wood Bridge Farm Spelling Bee, placed 2nd in her class at nationals. Spelling Bee was a stunning kid who also happened to be the Colorama sale junior doe; she quickly became a spectacle during the auction. The goat community watched in awe as a bidding war ensued over the correct junior, her price continuing to climb beyond expectation, and then beyond reason. Finally, for a record breaking sale price, Spelling Bee sold for $16,100!!
We are very thrilled to have two Wood Bridge Farm bucks representing some of the top animals in their herd stored away in our tanks for future use. A little ways down the line we think Devil will serve as a beautiful outcross for our current genetic pool.
