Every day looking at Ginger we find more qualities that we like, as she really does look better all the time. She is a very proportionate doe exhibiting a beautifully level topline that blends smoothly into her wide, flat rump. Her escutcheon is exceptionally high and wide, and she walks gracefully with good space in the rear. Ginger has a strong front end assembly with straight legs that are well placed beneath her withers showing off her prominent brisket. Ginger already has a good amount of body depth, and we are pleased to see more length of body from her as she matures. The pictures of her udder do not do it justice. She has one of the widest udders I have ever seen and it is so nicely attached. We like her so much we have retained two daughter and one son out of her first two freshening.
Ginger's Dam Spice is a very correct doe with a strong structural foundation. She is long and dairy while maintaining strength. Spice stands on strong legs and feet with a near perfect topline with a level rump, and a well attached udder. She earned her VEEV 90 in 2015 on LA as a 7 year old. Age certainly looks well on Spice and the judges agree, because she picked up two champion legs at 7 years old as well, earning her permanent grand championship status! Spice excels in fore udder attachment and has a V in rump. We hope her quality conformation has been passed on to Ginger; so far we certainly think so!
Ginger's paternal granddam Moonlight Sonata is dairy and feminine. She exhibits good rear angulation, and a capacious udder with broad attachments. With a limited show career Sonata has managed 3 Grand Champions, 4 Best of Breed and 3 Supreme Best Udder wins. In 2015, Sonata scored EEEE91 on LA as an 8 year old with E's in Rump, Legs, Shoulders, Back and Head!! Sonata scored 39 in rear udder height and a 34 in Udder Arch.

Ginger is off to a great start in 2017 with 4.2 pounds at 33 days fresh. Ginger maintained a 3.3 pound average during her 155 days in milk in 2017. She is such a solid doe in all categories!
