We sold Dewy as a kid in 2018 and had the opportunity to purchase him back in the late summer of 2019 and we jumped at the chance. We had planned to repeat the breeding with the intention of retaining a buck, so Dewy returning to the herd was just fantastic timing. We still do plan to repeat the breeding in hopes we can retain a full sister of his.
His dam has only been in our herd a few years, but we feel she is going to have a profound and lasting effect through her retained daughters and son(s). Dew Lee Noted earned 3 Reserve Grand Champions as a first freshening two-year-old in the extremely competitive Southern California shows. She took a year off from the ring as a three-year-old...but marched into the ring as a four-year-old and made quick work of becoming a finished Champion. She is one of the last of twin daughters from the stunning and in our opinion "perfect" SGCH Algedi Farm DJ Honey Dew 5*M (EEEE 91).
Dew Lee Noted has an impressive udder, scoring a 38 in Fore Udder Attachment and Rear Udder Arch, 37 in Rear Udder Height and a 36 for Medial. Her first year on milk test with us (as a three-year-old) she milked 910 pounds during her 206 day lactation, that is a daily average of more than 4.4 pounds! We look forward to getting her on milk test again in 2020.
Dewy's Sire, Wood Bridge Farm Valedictorian stands just 20" tall! He is extremely correct and proportionate, balancing width and depth throughout. He possesses great dairy strength, refinement, flatness of bone, open ribbing and loose skin. He stands on good feet and legs with strong pasterns. Valedictorian's Dam was the 2014 ADGA National Junior Champion and his Paternal Grand Dam is the only two-time winning ADGA National Nigerian Grand Champion and Best Udder both years as well. And as if all those impressive accolades were not enough...Val's Littermate sister is the highest selling Colorama kid in ADGA history. Wood Bridge Farm Spelling Bee sold for $16,100 in 2016 and then went on to win her two-year-old class at the 2018 ADGA Nationals! Both on paper and in person, this guy is the total package!
