Second Freshening Udder

Melody is very long and feminine. She has a strong front-end assembly with correct straight front legs and a nice brisket extension. Melody has a very level topline that runs smoothly into her flat rump. But as lovely as Melody is, it is her udder that really shines. She scored an EEEE 91 as a three-year-old. The highlight of this appraisal was a 37 in Fore Udder Attachment, a score of 40 for Rear Udder Height and a 38 for Rear Udder Arch. What an incredible udder on a three-year-old. I should also mention that she earned an Excellent in Shoulders, Front and Rear Legs and in Back! This doe is only going to continue to get better and better with age!
May 2018, at just 3 and a half weeks fresh Melody swept the first three rings at the first show of the season to become a finished Grand Champion. She looked stunning and is everything we are striving for! Not only is she beautiful to look at, but she also has excellent milk stand manners and milks down to absolutely nothing. As of the Spring of 2022 we have retained 6 Melody daughters, her oldest daughter River Blossom scored an EEEE 91 at three-years-old and also became a finished champion. That same year one of her two-year-old daughters scored a VEEE 90 at Linears as well. |

- As a four-year-old Melody swept three Champion Challenge Classes at the Lost Valley Diary Goat Show in June 2019, earning 3 Best of Breed Ribbons
Melody earned an EEEE 91 at Linear Appraisals as a three-year-old!!! - Melody became a Finished Grand Champion at the first local show of the 2018 season, by sweeping her first three rings!
- Melody's maternal Grand Dam Algedi Farm MH Andante scored an EEEE 91 at her 2015 Linear Appraisal and took first place in an insanely large 5 to 6 year old class at the 2015 ADGA Nationals! She was also one of only FOUR Nigerian does asked to be milked out for the Best Udder In Show competition at Nationals!!
- Melody will earn her AR milk Star as a first freshener in volume, fat and protein! This is quite an accomplishment for a first freshener!
- Two out Melody's Five daughters hit the show ring this year and both quickly earned their Restricted Champion Legs.

Chocolate Date of Birth: April 17, 2018 Height: 21 3/4" at 3 years Sire: CH Algedi Farm DJ Higgs Boson *B (EVE 90 @ 5yrs) Blossom reminded me so much of her dam, even at just a few weeks old. She was so long, feminine and stylish. As a three -year-old she is a very powerful doe with the nicest Topline and For Udder in our herd! Her front end is so correct and it is truly a treat to see a brisker this nice on a doe. I admire her correct, sharp shoulders...which is generally lacking in so many Nigerians. She also seems to have inherited the typical wide rump Higgs Bosom seems to bless so many of his daughters with. |
Blossom is Country Melody's first Champion daughter...but we are pretty sure she will not be the last!

I can't imagine when these lovely daughters start to freshen that their udders won't be as equally impressive as well! Aurora is co-owned by Jessica Allen of Vista's Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats and Lily Anderson of Cameroon Dairy Goats. Aurora earned her Restricted Leg her first time to a Show as a dry yearling under Judge Sam Whiteside. She is pictured at 16 months old. |

Deeds shows prominent withers, tightly set elbows and lovely strength of brisket. He has a long lean neck. nice spring of rib and very soft skin. I especially love his long length of body (I think I already said that!), which reminds me a great deal of his dam at this age. |

She has a different body confirmation then Melody's other daughters and we are so curious to see how this beautiful young doe matures. It took melody 3 years to start showing good body capacity, but we feel Charm will mature much more quickly. |

Chamoisee Date of Birth: March 22, 2020 Height: 19 3/4" @ 1 years Sire: Wood Bridge Farm Valedictorian Butterfly Waltz is our fourth retained daughter of Melody's. We have also retained Waltz's full litter-mate brother: Hidden Hills Magic Mike *B. We can certainly see the influence her sire has had on her conformation, without losing traits that Melody seems to stamp on all of her daughters. Waltz has a beautiful medial, like all of her Melody sisters. Her udder is held high and is very well attached. |
