In 2018, we had the rare opportunity to "borrow" a buck that is linebreed on SGCH Rosasharn's UMT Tupelo Honey 4*M (EEEE 91). Tupelo produced a total of 18 kids, 6 of those went on to become permanent Champions and another two earned their Superior Genetics designation. So we were pretty tickled at the opportunity to borrow Algedi Farm CK Kinetic Riptide (owned by Wolfivan Ranch). Riptide is a Great Grandson of Tupelo on his Sire's side and a Grandson on his Dam's side.
Chase at just a few weeks old is showing considerable upstandingness, length and smoothness of blending....which seems to demand you look at him as he moves and plays. On the move we commend him for his lovely topline and strong rump. We especially admire his dairy strength, angularity and openness of bone.
His dam has only been in our herd a few years, but we feel she is going to have a profound and lasting effect through her retained daughters and son(s). Dew Lee Noted earned 3 Reserve Grand Champions as a first freshening two-year-old in the extremely competitive Southern California shows. She took a year off from the ring as a three-year-old...but marched into the ring as a four-year-old and made quick work of becoming a finished Champion. She is one of the last of twin daughters from the stunning and in our opinion "perfect" SGCH Algedi Farm DJ Honey Dew 5*M (EEEE 91).
Dew Lee Noted has an impressive udder, scoring a 38 in Fore Udder Attachment and Rear Udder Arch, 37 in Rear Udder Height and a 36 for Medial. Her first year on milk test with us (as a three-year-old) she milked 910 pounds during her 206 day lactation, that is a daily average of more than 4.4 pounds! We look forward to getting her on milk test again in 2020.
Chase's Sire, Algedi Farm CK Kinetic Riptide +*B has a stunning pedigree, he is line bred on Algedi Farm DJ Splash O' Honey, daughter of SGCH Rosasharn's Tupelo Honey and GCH Algedi Farm Drops Of Jupiter, two very well known and incredibly correct Nigerian Dwarf goats. Riptide has a strong general appearance, is level over the topline, tight in the shoulders with correct brisket definition, and has flat ribbing, a wide rump and awesome rear end assembly. His littermate sister, Algedi Farm CK Seirene Song, scored VEVE 91 as a 3 year old.
Riptide has some very nice daughters that are doing well in the show ring and 2 finished champion daughters including SGCH Joyful Hearts Phoebe (VEEE 91 at 4 yrs)
