Charm was born with a bit of a different body style then her dam usually produces. Although she also showed femininity, length and smoothness of blending she just seemed to have much more capacity then I am used to seeing with Melody daughters at birth. It was an easy choice to retain Charm. She shows very prominent withers, tightly set elbows and beautiful level topline. I especially love her long, flat rump and she is maturing into a beautiful doe. We have leased Charm out to a friend for a year to help keep our numbers under control. But she will be producing Hidden Hills kids for the 2022 kidding season.
Her Dam, SGCH Bellafire BP Country Melody 1*M (EEEE 91 @ 3yrs 2m) swept all three rings at the first show of the season as a three-year-old. She was an impressive sight that day! Melody was so long bodied and elegant as a junior doe, I knew it would take her a few years to grow into and fill out all that length...at three years of age...she did it! She is also so very impressive in the milk bucket, milking 5.6 pounds at 41 days fresh into her second lactation. We can't wait to bring Melody to Nationals in 2019!
Charm's Sire, Algedi Farm Kinetic Riptide has been putting some exceptional daughters on the ground. Riptide has a stunning pedigree, he is line bred on Algedi Farm DJ Splash O' Honey, daughter of SGCH Rosasharn's Tupelo Honey and GCH Algedi Farm Drops Of Jupiter, two very well known and incredibly correct Nigerian Dwarf goats. Riptide has a strong general appearance, is level over the topline, tight in the shoulders with correct brisket definition, and has flat ribbing, a wide rump and awesome rear end assembly. His littermate sister, Algedi Farm CK Seirene Song, scored VEVE 91 as a 3 year old.
